Tokyo's Neon Nights As Seen By Matthieu Bühler

Tokyo is the spot to catch luminous skyscrapers and buildings towering above the world even after dark. Now living and working in Japan's vibrant capital city, German-french graphic designer Matthieu Bühler photographs the shining buildings in the night and even dreams in neon. Just like his graphic designs which are colorful and clear, Bühler's photography is infiltrated with radiant colors and crisp outlines. The way in which he sets up each snapshot gives off the true essence of a city that never sleeps.

You could say Bühler is enamored with how Tokyo's neon lights seem to dance around the city. (Or at least that's what his bold photographs are giving off.) The glowing rays around the dark, evening skies sometimes indicate an open store or food venue while other times are used to brighten an otherwise dim pathway. We are particularly entranced by the aspect of breath captured in each image, as if he found a calm moment after the storm of the day. Go ahead and take a trip into the vivid night views of Tokyo in the imagery below and check out Bühler's website for more.
