It's often said that capturing a good photo is less about the camera and more about the person behind the lens. While true, talented image-makers still deserve to have access to the tools which can enhance their careers and take their passions to the next level. Hearing this artistic plea, Nikon Europe and the NOOR foundation (a photo agency comprised of and run by 16 international photographer members) have come together over the past nine years, offering educational programs in support of young photographic talent. This year, the Nikon-NOOR Academy is offering four days worth of free workshops for young aspiring and talented documentary photographers looking to further improve their personal initiatives. So how does it work?

Bourgeoning photographers working on, editing, or searching for ways to share their work have the opportunity to do all of the above and more through a four-day intensive workshop in either Poland, Sweden and Belgium. Fifteen photographers will be selected for each location's masterclass series and will work side-by-side with three NOOR members to develop their visual storytelling skills, gain new knowledge, and create contacts.  (Are you reading this and feeling like this is your calling?) There is still a bit of time for you to submit your application before the January 29, 2018 deadline. Find more details along with the application forms here. While you're waiting to hear back, browse through the stunning imagery from NOOR photographer members below.
