A$AP Rocky Critiques Gun Culture and Capitalism in his Latest NSFW Video
A$AP Rocky has shared an explicit new James Mackel-directed visual for his track “Gunz N Butter” featuring Juicy J. While Rocky has dropped a slew of surrealist videos accompanying songs for his most recent studio album Testing , “Gunz N Butter” takes takes on an explicit critique on capitalism and militarism. While still featuring the crash test dummies seen throughout his latest work, the video also juxtaposes provocative images of meat being processed in factories, a teenager cleaning his gun, and Klansmen burning crosses, to the rapper performing to a high-energy crowd and riding around in an empty desert. Following two other recent video releases for the songs “Fukk Sleep,” featuring FKA twigs, and the Tame Impala-sampled “Sundress,” Rocky has been busy after releasing his RCA record studio album and gearing up for his North American Injured Generation tour kicking off in January 2019.
