1984, the year the first Apple Macintosh personal computer sold, Bill Murray tackled the supernatural in Ghostbusters, and the Summer Olympic Games were held in none other than the palm-tree lined city of Los Angeles. Lacoste’s newest capsule captures this iconic moment in time, with the third edition of their ongoing Olympic Heritage Collection. Celebrating the bright colors and bold graphics that defined the era, Lacoste’s “Games of the XXIIIrd Olympiad Los Angeles 1984” range is inspired by Americana, sportswear, and California’s laid back feel.

Staying true to the ‘80s, we ditched digital cameras and tapped Los Angeles-based photographer Larsen Sotelo and videographer Nick Green for a film-only editorial and short. Both artists, known for their brightly colored, intimate portraits of their subjects, delivered a selection of visuals only true Angelino’s can bottle up. The full collection is available now worldwide in Lacoste’s retail locations and online.
