ASICS has dived deep into their archives and selected the 90's cult classic GELSAGA OG sneaker to be the focal point for our exclusive exposé. Known for a straightforward silhouette among the ASICS lifestyles collection, the 1991 GELSAGA heritage model has amassed it’s own following over the years and has become a collaborator’s favorite. This retro runner keeps the original aesthetic and tech features in time-honored and neon colorways. OG ASICS fans will appreciate the subtle mid foot overlays and midsole that this come-back sneaker is characterized by.

To show-off the re-release of the GELSAGA, we went back into ASICS's Japanese roots and followed rappers JP THE WAVY and Hiyadam around the glowing streets of Shibuya. Along with headlining our WTG event in Paris, the two have been busy reaching the top of the charts of the Japanese underground rap scene. German-born Tokyo-based photographer Lasse Kusk accompanied the native pair through the glossy and luminous back-alleys of the infamous Tokyo neighborhood. The arcade games and neon-lit streets amplified the 90's sneaker's nostalgia and motif. The two rappers will be performing at our official WTG party, taking place in ASICS House Paris on June 20th.
