Early 90's Grunge Artists are the Centerpiece for PLEASURES X WAV Debut Collab
Music discovery and artist development platform WAV has partnered with PLEASURES for an limited capsule. The app, which hosts exclusive content from hip hop’s biggest names including Kanye West, Quavo, Kid Cudi, and YG, will make its first appearance into the fashion world through the punk-inspired PLEASURES. Although this pairing may seem like an unlikely match, the four limited-edition shirts highlight how the underground music scene of the 80s and 90s impacts today’s hip hop culture.
Available exclusively at ComplexCon this weekend, the range features visuals from iconic American photographer Charles Peterson. Known best for his intimate documentation of the rising stars of grunge in its early years, including Kurt Cobain, Björk, Soundgarden, and Pearl Jam, the collection is inspired by music’ cyclical impact on our culture. For those attending Long Beach’s ComplexCon this weekend, pieces from the selection will be handed out to those who download the WAV app.
