Tommy Genesis Drops Highly-Anticipated Debut Album Alongside Short Film

Canadian artist Tommy Genesis has treated her fans today by dropping her self-titled debut album. The 12-track compilation is charged with her provocative energy, while also showing the rapper-singer’s vulnerability. Tommy explains this duality in a recent press release, “This album is self-titled Tommy Genesis because it captures two sides of me,” says Genesis, “there’s a dark side in me juxtaposed by its angelic counterpart. The first half of the album is what most people know—that’s Tommy! The second half is Genesis—the more vulnerable side.”

Delivered by Downtown Records, the project taps Charli XCX and Empress Of for unreleased collaborations, while also including already-certified bangers “Bad Boy,” “Daddy,” “100 Bad,” and “Tommy.” Alongside the highly anticipated Tommy Genesis release, Genesis has unveiled a short film (above) co-directed with Brando to promote her worldwide tour, God Is Wild.
