Although on Instagram she merely claims to be "just a girl in los angeles," Kelia Anne MacCluskey is truly one talented image-maker. While not afraid to get up-close-and-personal with her seemingly familiar subjects, she still manages to create distant realities with her slightly bizarre portraiture and dazzling still life imagery. MacCluskey has forged her own lane in the photography world by instilling a unique quirkiness to each of her vibrant renderings.

Whether it's rhinestone teeth-bling or color coordinated outfits to match a model's never-ending nails, MacCluskey knows just how to add that special pinch of absurdity into each of her surreal captures. She often dresses her visual stories in monochromatic color palettes and shiny objects; giving them that extra oomph. "By illustrating a timeless and indescribable era, using elements that quietly 'feel wrong', and making a quick and effective statement in each photograph, her work evades being too eagerly categorized," her website best explains.
