The Skateroom Taps LA-Artist Steve Harrington for a Limited Edition Skate Deck Collection

Steve Harrington is an LA-based artist and designer, co-founder of design firm National Forest, and now, The Skateroom’s latest collaborator. Known for being a top producer of California’s contemporary pop-art aesthetic, Harrington’s signature style includes psychedelic bright colors contrasted with bold graphics. The artist’s multimedia approach has led his portfolio to be filled with large-scale installs, exclusive prints, limited edition books, and sculptures. The Skateroom tapped Harrington for a limited edition run of skateboard decks after seeking to make a series dedicated to the graphics and illustrations that have inspired skateboarding’s DIY culture. Photos from the exclusive capsule were released yesterday, revealing two models, a triptych Roséalong with a standalone piece titled Anxiety.

Ten percent of the sales will be donated to the non-profit Make Life Skate Life, who’s mission is to make skateboarding accessible to everyone who wants to learn, while encouraging participation of girls and refugees through the opening of the first skate park in Iraq. Additionally, 375 coloring books made by the artist will be sent out to children in South Africa, Afghanistan and Cambodia through the Skate and Create Program. The decks are available now, ranging from $300 to $750 USD, and will be sold exclusively available at The Skateroom
