Mike Miller's Iconic Images of West Coast's Rap Legends are on Display in 'California Love'

Los Angeles’ gallery M+B Photo latest exhibition, California Love, focuses on internationally acclaimed photographer Mike Miller. A Los Angeles native, Miller is best known for his iconic images of the rising West Coast hip hop scene in the late 80’s and early 90s. After a brief stint in Europe, where he was handed his first camera, Peter Lindbergh’s Nikon F2, by supermodel Linda Evangelista, Miller returned to southern California to shoot key figures in the West Coast rap scene.

From documenting Tupac Shakur to N.W.A., Miller’s photographs capture the region in a monumental time. The show curates images from the past 29 years, focusing on the landmarks and prolific figures that embody California in the 1990s. More notably, Miller has been recognized by The New York Public Library and The Oakland Museum of California, and has been included in the collections of the Smithsonian, Getty Museum and the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Catch the show before it ends on November 3rd.
