This Visual Art Book Features Over Three Hundred Pages of Contemporary Works That Explore Light
American artist Hannah Stouffer fascination with light has manifested in a 376-page visual art book published by Gingko Press. After spending the last year and half collecting illuminated works for ‘Lust for Light,’ Stouffer will be releasing the book alongside an experiential installation at Los Angeles’s Ace Hotel on October 25th. The volume explores artists who are drawn to utilize light as the primary or catalyzing agent in their work, whether that be neons, LEDs, or lasers, resulting in an appreciation for the seemingly infinite medium.
Curating pieces that range from traditional gallery forms, three dimensional, and large scale installations, ‘Lust for Light’ includes work from iconic artists such as Yayoi Kusama, Miguel Chevalier, James Clar, Liz West, and more. Overall, the featured array of creators are highly revered for their abilities in honing new and old light technologies into their process.
