JR Brings His 'GIANTS' Solo Show to London's Lazinc Gallery

French photographer and world renowned contemporary artist JR is bringing his GIANTS project to the United Kingdom. Originally an outdoor installation of perhaps lesser-recognized diving, high jumping and swimming athletes created for the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio, JR's new 2018 exhibit dubbed GIANTS – Body of Work will offer a comprehensive viewing of the process behind the art mastermind's sporty works of art and take place at London's new Lazinc flagship gallery space.

Unlike his Olympics sculpture art debut, the upcoming showcase will give visitors an inside overview of the multidisciplinary artist's approach to his work including the architectural planning and digital photography methodologies used. As stated by the gallery themselves, Lazinc has "worked with JR since 2008, so the exhibition will not only celebrate the launch of a new gallery, but also a decade of history between the gallery and the artist." You have from from January 12th until February 28th, 2018 to catch the solo show in London so make sure to hop on over to 29 Sackville Street in the coming weeks to witness. Want more JR?
