ASICS and Unrated are Back with The Second Edition of WAVES Paris

ASICS and Unrated are on a joint mission to spread the musical talents of bourgeoning Japanese artists around the world. Committed to honoring the next wave of producers, singers, and rappers from the island nation, we have converted the basement of ASICS House Paris into the sonic hub for exploring and hearing from the latest and greatest of underground Japanese musicians. The very first edition of the ongoing project dubbed WAVES saw an intimate show from Grammy-nominated producer starRo for their debut immersive performance experience back in October. Now WAVES is back for round two, bringing on the hottest new rap clique from Japan.

ASICS et Unrated se sont fixés la mission de promouvoir les talents de la nouvelle scène underground japonaise dans le monde entier. Engagés à honorer la prochaine vague de producteurs, musiciens et rappeurs de la nation insulaire, nous avons converti le sous-sol de la ASICS House Paris en véritable temple dédié aux musiques alternatives. L’objectif est de vous permettre de découvrir les nouveaux artistes de la scène nippone. Pour la première édition de WAVES nous avons accueilli le producteur nominé aux Grammy Shinia et son groupe StarRo pour un set live et leur première date parisienne. Aujourd’hui, WAVES est de retour pour la deuxième manche, avec le crew de rappeurs le plus en vue de Tokyo : kiLLa.

In accordance with Paris Fashion Week, WAVES taps a fly group of Tokyo-based rappers on their rise to fame better known as the kiLLa crew. The five-man group of lyricists consists of KEPHA, kZm, YDIZZY, Arjuna, and Blaise; three of whom will take over ASICS House Paris next week. Attendees will have the opportunity to vibe out with Kepha, BLAISE and Arjuna whose meticulous flows and wide-ranging tones are already influencing the next generation of Japanese music to come.

Prenant place durant la Paris Fashion Week, WAVES a fait appel aux membres du collectif kiLLa pour enflammer sa deuxième édition. Le groupe de cinq MC se compose de KEPHA, kZm, YDIZZY, Arjuna, and Blaise; trois d’entre eux feront trembler la ASICS House Paris la semaine prochaine. Les participants auront l’occasion de vibrer sous les flows de Kepha, BLAISE, Arjuna et les prods intenses de No Flower.

To top it all off, digital art studio ExperiensS will provide the mesmerizing light displays for the evening as well as premiere of our first VR project for ASICS in collaboration with Monochrome Paris. WAVES is an invite-only experience, so those looking to join in the fun must make sure keep up with our social platforms for invite giveaways or tune into the event's live broadcast on Unrated’s official Facebook page.

Pour couronner le tout, le studio d’art numérique ExperiensS proposera une installation visuelle immersive et innovante. Nous aurons également le plaisir de vous présenter en avant première notre premier projet VR pour ASICS en collaboration avec Monochrome Paris.
