ASICS’ Brings Worldwide Musical Talents To Paris for our Unreal Event la Gaîté Lyrique
Each ASICS Paris Fashion Week event focuses on telling ASICS’ history through a lineup of hip hop and rap performances. Bridging the gap between it’s Japanese roots and worldwide presence, the lineup spotlights talent’s straight from the legendary sneaker’s homeland while mixing in performances from French favorites and European music makers. Already well-known among the underground hip hop circles in Japan’s rap scene, ASICS has brought in Loota to headline the night. After being tapped by South Korean heavyweight Keith Ape’s for a feature on his chart-topping “It G Ma”, and also delivering a slick verse on "Dirt Boys” from Tokyo’s prized KOHH, the Japanese rapper will be their to bring the heat. Along with collaborating with leaders in his local scene, Loota has just dropped his debut project, Gradation, which features production assits from producer A$AP P on the Boards.
After keeping his presence to a minimum, French rapper Ateyaba, formally known as Joke, will be taking the stage in a highly anticipated set alongside fellow French act DJ DTWEEZER. The confirmed talent, whose dominace onto the French rap scene was supported through first-rate collaborations with the likes of Pusha T and Action Bronson, will be back delivering is usual onslaught of sure-fire deliver and electronic-inspired beats.
Hailing from West Germany’s gritty Ruhr Valley, Serious Klein will be delivering his powerful stanza’s laid out on a mix of soul, jazz, and gospel in the main hall of la Gaîté Lyrique. Last year he delivered his highly anticipated 8-track project, You Should Have Known to the masses, garnering attention from music platform COLORS yet again, who tapped the German rapper for a dynamic rendition of “91 Flex.” One of the best rap architects to come out of the French scene, Ikaz Boi, will be present to deliver his host of agreeable beats and mixes. He’s natural eclecticism has drawn worldwide producing projects from Atlanta icons Quavo and Travis Scott, to French staple Ateyaba and Japan’s Loota who are both featured on the musical lineup at the WTG event. Local favorite Bambz will be there to get the party started with his ongoing residency. Delivering his ever-evolving mix of first-rate sounds, the French DJ and producer never fails to ignite a feel-good mood during the epic night.
