ASICS Taps Kiko Kostadinov Once Again to Deliver an Innovative Capsule Collection
ASICS’ newest release is a Kiko Kostadinov-designed silhouette called the GEL-Sokat Infinity. After a series of highly coveted collaborations between the sneaker company and innovative Bulgarian designer, this hybrid model’s interesting aesthetic and boundary-pushing tech comes as no surprise. Borrowing the full-length translucent GEL midsole from the GEL-Quantum Infinity, the GEL-Sokat boast functionality through a lightweight mesh upper and synthetic overlays.
This performance runner is a far cry from the increasingly popular dad-shoe, with an asymmetrical design, and “a” logo appearing on the medial and lateral sides in replacement of ASICS’ signature stripes. Along with a small capsule of apparel, the collection is showcased through a whimsical Frank Lebon-shot campaign. Dover Street Market London will drop the entire offering online and in stores on April 6th.
