American Apparel Makes a Comeback with "Back to Basics" Campaign

If you thought the American Apparel days were over, think again. After closing all retail stores around the world and even their Los Angeles headquarters, the “Made in America – Sweatshop Free” retailer is going back to the basics; literally. Taking a step forward in the fashion game with their signature key pieces, American Apparel returns with a “Back to Basics” campaign. And considering a somewhat turbulent past (including allegations of sexual misconduct by founder Dov Charney, going bankrupt, and being acquired by Gildan Activewear just last year), it’s certainly time for the brand to refresh and start again.

Starting off on a better foot, the new campaign includes vibrant imagery filled with a diverse crew of models dressed in simple garments; ideal for the warmer months. From bathing suits, swim trunks and bodysuits to track jackets, pullovers and rompers, the latest launch is sure to pique the interest of previous American Apparel customers. With a brand new webstore launching today, browse through the “Back to Basics” visuals below and click here to shop your favorite easy-going American Apparel wearables.
