While some of you are still nurturing your severe hangover or post-festival blues from the recently passed Coachella weekend, there’s no better way to get over that shit than by listening to little bit of music. Especially when one of the songs is titled “Sober,” and even more especially when the person singing it is none other than the alluringly voiced Lorde. The kiwi singer/songwriter has gone against the grain by deciding to drop three brand new gems last weekend, opting to do so on a live stage rather than your typically online release.

Starting out with an intimate gig at the infamous rustic desert Saloon Pappy & Harriet’s, located somewhere out there in Pioneertown, California, the singer graced the audience with “Sober,” an upbeat, percussion-heavy number, and “Melodrama,” the title track to her upcoming new album. The third, entitled “Homemade Dynamite,” was performed for the first time at Coachella’s Sunday, with the artist also having shared some notes to the crowd on what to expect from her new album, stating “It’s a record about all of the ups and downs of being twenty-something. Specifically, all of the ups and downs of an evening.” While we wait for the album Melodrama to drop this coming June 16 (with pre-orders now available), check out–or reminisce–in the three performances recorded live throughout.
