Contrary to what’s synonymous with this time of year, we’re boycotting the spirit of merriment to bring you some seriously hard hitting tunes to get you pumped for no good reason other than to get all that coal you received in your stocking lit. Or perhaps it’s to get us into some sort of war dance to fend off whatever spirits are making 2016 such a turbulent year, or maybe even to get you pumped all week long in preparation for next week’s New Year’s shit shows.

In a bid to lead you on an emotional journey, we’ve selected a blend of genres under the same aesthetic of Unrated to keep things both diverse and coherent.

Whatever the reason, whatever the result, our fourth edition of our ongoing playlist series titled Unrtated’s Undiscovered–a careful curation of burgeoning musical artists that have yet to be fully appreciated, but damn well should be. These talents are all somehow under the radar for most, but having put up a Soundcloud page, we’ve been able to find them; a mix of singers, songwriters, music engineers, producers, rappers and DJs. In a bid to lead you on an emotional journey, we’ve selected a blend of genres under the same aesthetic of Unrated to keep things both diverse and coherent.

Starting off our fourth edition, dubbed ‘Heavy Hits & Seeing Stars,’ with a bang, you’ll find the likes of Mike Dean (who’s worked with Yeezus, Travis Scott, Beyonce, Jay Z, and Frank Ocean to name a few), followed by a few Toronto cohorts such as Donnie, Smoke Dawg (featuring Skepta) and Full Circle, which leads through via more hip hop and heavy AF beats to a more sultry ending with songstresses AMRIT, Wednesday, Adi, Madame Gandhi and ending on a state of euphoria with (needs to be discovered) TREEE SAFARI.
