The Tracksuit is Back Thanks To adidas Originals, UNITED ARROWS & SONS and MIKITYPE
The tracksuit is unequivocally a staple within streetwear. It’s seen the passing of time where the landscape of its fashion has shifted and changed–sometimes for the better, sometimes for the worse–yet the tracksuit remains constant. Without changing its foundation, adidas Originals have put in effort to update the classic two-piece, and have brought on Japan’s fashion imprint UNITED ARROWS & SONS and calligraphy artist MIKITYPE to help. The three have put their heads together to come up with a contemporary take on the track jacket and pants, putting out a clean, two-colorway offering that we totally dig.
The designs feature MIKITYPE’s Katakana graphic found on the chest and back panels of the jacket, as well as all along adidas’ signature Three Stripes that run down both pieces. The details include embroidered UNITED ARROWS & SONS “& MIKITYPE” logo accents, as well as a side zipper found on the pants. Coming in either black or burgundy, the adidas Originals x UNITED ARROWS & SONS x MIKITYPE tracksuit collection will be made available come March 25, with its price point at €250 EUR (approximately $270 USD).
