Browsing through our “Garage” tag, you’ll notice that we have a thing for retro cars. Not to say we shy away from anything modern or contemporary, but aesthetically speaking, there’s just something about a vintage body with retro design accents that conjures up idealistic images of coasting down open roads. The Shelby Cobra Daytona Coupe is another perfect example of a dream roadster. The model is an upgrade from the world famous Shelby Cobra Daytona CSX2000, which won the World Manufacturers Championship back in 1965.

Although the upgraded Coupe model has been out for some time now, the changes were more on detailed improvements to keep it up to par, making it “a worthy contender in the market,” tells Lance Stander, President of Shelby Distribution USA. It also offered Shelby lovers a way to get their hands on the car, as the original Cobra Daytona was a rarity–with only six made and worth millions of dollars. With that in mind, check out the Shelby Cobra Daytona Coupe in all its glory in the gallery above, and head here to find out on the specs of car.
