Who would have ever thought that one day we would be able to cop a pair of trainers that were made from light and oxygen? Well, that day has arrived and we must tip our hats to to the innovative design team at adidas for the development of the Futurecraft 4D – a high performance sneaker with a midsole created using light and oxygen via Digital Light Synthesis, a technology pioneered by Carbon.

There’s much to be said and to be learned when taking a detailed look at the beautifully constructed silhouette. You can check out more in-depth description of the shoe’s origin here. Until then, browse through the gallery above and we’ll leave you with this bit of information: the shoe’s initial run will be limited to 300 pairs for friends and family, but you might have a shot of scooping these up during their wider release [5000 pairs] in the Fall/Winter of this year.
