Whether you’re a bike enthusiast or novice, this stunning BMW motorcycle will have you drooling. This concept bike isn’t merely a means of transportation. Rather, the project, which is dubbed the ‘BMW Motorrad VISION NEXT 100,’ is an outright glimpse into the future. Set in the ’40s of the 21st Century, where transportation has largely become driverless, the VISION NEXT seeks to merge the growing use of digital technology with an added emphasis to the freedoms obtained through manually driving.
The entire bike incorporates fully conscious engineering that changes and adapts to every bit of motor function.
Developed by BMW Design Director Edgar Heinrich and his team, this form of freedom is accompanied alongside a “digital companion,” which aids the driver like a sort of Cortana system from the video game Halo. Besides the sleek visuals which showcase a world where NikeLab has replaced all forms of fashion, the VISION NEXT is as much a motorcycle as any bike BMW has ever made. The roadster features BMW’s iconic black triangular frame, white lines, and classical-opposed twin engine. Furthermore, the entire bike incorporates fully conscious engineering that changes and adapts to every bit of motor function.
Beginners to the motorbike world don’t need to feel left out either, for the VISION NEXT contains a perfect balancing system that ensures the utmost safety. This technology is brought all together with the idea of a visor as a means to replace the traditional helmet. This visor acts as all-out field guide that constantly scans and re-scans the area notifying both the driver and the bike of any and all upcoming changes and hazards. If the driver is late to react, the bike itself will act out to maneuver any danger. This all sounds way to good to be true, and it very well may be, but if there is one automobile manufacturer to bring this reality into fruition, it’s BMW.
