Snoop Dogg’s New Album ‘Neva Left’ is Now Out and It’s Straight G
As the album’s title points out, the Dogg has always been in the house; Snoop D O Double G never left, and his latest musical effort goes on to prove that. But while some can argue that any artist can simply put out another “album” and claim that they’re still in the game, Snoops’ Neva Left is a true mark of the rapper’s cemented position within hip hop–his “Dogg Mark” if you catch the pun–as its sound harks back to all that is good with the Long Beach-native. In short, the album is straight up G, verified by the man himself with “Rapper? Nah n*gga that ain’t me / Gangster? Yeah n*gga can’t you see?!” thrown out right there in the intro.
The 16-track album also brings on an impressive list of guest artists and fellow Gs, including the likes of Redman, Method Man, Charlie Wilson, Devin the Dude, K Camp, KRS-One, BADBADNOTGOOD, Kaytranada, Wiz Khalifa, Too $hort and more–so you already know this is going to be an epic landmark for the living legend. Neva Left stands as Snoop’s 15th LP release, which follows last year’s Coolaid effort and includes everyone’s new 4/20 anthem “Mount Kushmore” that released earlier last month, as well as an epicly classic album cover to boot. So without further adieu, enjoy Snoop Dogg’s Neva Left above, and look out for more from the project to come.
