Snarkitecture and COS Bring Their “Loop” Exhibition to Seoul

Back in April of 2015, Snarkitecture and COS teamed up for a collaborative pop-up effort that first saw an art instillation in Milan to help showcase the contemporary fashion brand’s then latest men’s and womenswear collection. They then continued the paired project over in Los Angeles, which saw a brand new artistic construction. For the third and latest chapter to their world-traveling experience, the two are back at it again for yet another new instillation, this time set in South Korea’s capital of Seoul.

From over 100,000 meters of translucent white strips of fabric in Milan, to an exploration of form and silhouettes centered around a 20-foot floor-to-ceiling mirrored wall in Los Angeles, Seoul’s Gana Art Center receives an intricate maze consisting of 400 meters of metal tracks for 100,000 glass marbles to run constantly around it. Officially dubbed the Loop, the instillation also allows interaction, with customers being able to freely pick up and place the marbles back into the Loop at any part of the maze‚Äďan artistically kinetic experience for all. Apparently taking nearly a whole year to complete from ideation to final construction, Snarkitecture and COS’ Loop exhibit is well worth the visit, so be sure to stop by the Gana Art Center from Novermber 8-14 if you’re in the city, as well as COS’ Cheongdam store that features a mini-version of the Loop
