Earlier this year, Parisian fashion house Saint Laurent released an incredibly abstract and intense campaign short ‘preview’ dubbed #YSL05 BY ANTHONY VACCARELLO, that showcased its new creative director Anthony Vaccarello’s Fall/Winter 2017 Menswear Collection, that pulled from an array of inspirations and references by Director Nathalie Canguilhem. Well YSL are back again with a new video offering, this time for its full Fall/Winter 2017 range. The new video brings back Nathalie Canguilhem, who has switched up the approach from the aforementioned Menswear video’s abstract narrative, to a more straight-forward runway presentation of the collection.

The video is set against a grungy, ‘behind-the-scenes’ scaffolding style stage, with the collection’s models strutting and posing while the camera and Sebastian-created soundtrack does a good job at keeping the pace intense. The collection itself is a moody range of classic fits with a contemporary twist with bold silhouettes and striking lines, which gets amplified under the harsh glare of the set’s neon lights.
