There are those that have been drooling over Nike‘s classic Air More Uptempo since the OG sneakerhead days. Then there are those that turned heads during the iconic silhouette’s fairly recent revival thanks to the ever-coveted Supreme “Suptempo” collaboration. Either way, there’s not denying that the bold design of the Air More Uptempo is a unique and, well… bold statement. To dial things back just a bit while maintaining its bravado presence, Nike has unveiled a new iteration that sees the sneaker clad in all-black, as slick and sleek as can be. Aptly dubbed the “Triple Black,” the new colorway gets a tonal makeover that sees all components of the shoe dipped in deep black (if only Vantablack… maybe one day…).

But while its new colorway will be more than enough to warrant Scottie Pippen’s signature silhouette to fly off shelves, Nike has gone above and beyond by implementing a number of subtly dope AF details, such as reflective 3M accents boarding the sneaker’s iconic “AIR” logoing, as well as air sole pockets exposed in the sole unit. While the shoe itself is a subtle offering, unfortunately it’s not as subtle on your bank account, with the new colorway being offered at $160 USD. If you’re willing to spend though, look out for the drop to come April 15 at select Nike retailers.
