Move and Ellesse Hark Back to Retro Sportswear for Their Latest Collaboration Collection

Retro sportswear aesthetics live on through streetwear retailer Move and classic footwear imprint Ellesse‘s latest collaborative effort, consisting of the two Italian-born brands banding together for a limited edition capsule collection of both apparel and footwear. Seasoned for Spring/Summer 2017, the looks hark back to the ’90s, bringing with it that classic color blocked approach that once dominated the sportswear market. Using an easy color palette predominantly of red, yellow, navy, white and black, often found in either three-toned pieces or emblazoned within the massively branded designs.

The stand out pieces from the collection include branded anoraks, color blocked fleece sweaters, and of course the sneakers: a retro-inspired take on Ellesse’s Ls360 silhouette that takes on the collections color themes with premium-looking construction. The joint effort is definitely an impressive one that has certainly helped bring Ellesse back on the map. While keeping true to its design inspirations, the project remains understated, which is something refreshing from the countless over-the-top drops we’ve been seeing as of late. Check out the official lookbook for Move x Ellesse’s Spring/Summer 2017 collaborative collection, dubbed Move Forward, throughout, then check out Move’s official website to look at purchasing.
