Meet Alexandre Peneau, a young man from the south of France who is, for a lack of a better phrase, beginning to makes waves in the world of surf and filmmaking. The young frenchman first started shooting when he saved enough money to buy his own camera. Since then, Alex has been mastering his style of filmmaking which incorporates an interesting relationship between culture and nature.
Alex also co-founded a production company known as Barrel Vision, whose productions aim to inspire “by endless horizons.”
More notably, at just 22 years of age, Alex also co-founded a production company known as Barrel Vision, whose productions aim to inspire “by endless horizons.” ‘THOSE DOGS WHO WANDER,’ is one such production, which is as much a surf film, as it is a travel guide and a visual documentation of a band of friends exploring the beautiful island of Sumbawa, Indonesia. Alex’ philosophic vision is one that is constantly inspired by nature. As one who is always in contact with the mountains and oceans of southern France, it’s these experiences and appreciations that give his filmmaking a unique quality.
Having already worked with major surf brands like Quicksilver, this unique approach to filmmaking is bound to excel in the coming years. When your’e done checking out ‘THOSE DOGS WHO WANDER,’ be sure to check out the full scope of his work over at the Barrel Vision Vimeo account.
