Maybe the world has finally accepted the lunacy caused by social media. The lunacy that has driven a nation, revered as the leaders of the free world, to elect a man that many have serious issues with—to put it politely. The sad truth is that maybe the world will now adhere solely on the merits of ones fame rather intellect. Maybe, I’m just as fed up as the millions of people all across the world for what has been a sore year to say the least. Whatever the case, Arecibo has released a music video titled “I’m Cosmic,” which showcases this sort of dystopian sci-fi future.
This world is dominated by brooding neon colors, to perhaps reflect the brooding dystopian reality the universe has progressed towards.
In conjunction with UK design group, Type One, the visuals are shot using a 360-degree virtual reality approach. “I’m Cosmic” features an interesting universe where many of our aforementioned fears have taken center stage. A world, much like the alternate 1985 of Back to the Future: Part II, where in this case, Kanye West has become the galactic president and Hilary Clinton has apparently adopted a martian baby. This world is dominated by brooding neon colors to perhaps reflect the brooding dystopian reality the universe has progressed towards.
Arecibo’s latest track, which is set to release in January, utilizes the emerging industry of VR. One to which will be at the epicenter of entertainment in the years to come (whether we like it or not).
