Some of you, especially the Adam Villacin fans out there, will remember the illustrator’s awesome series These Charming X-Men, where he turned Xavier’s gifted students into a bunch of emos–or to be less blunt about it, sensitive people with real and relatable shades of character (which you can view below). Drawn up under Villacin’s signature dot and line-infused style, akin to traditional etching work, the artist’s X-men are reimagined in a way you’ll not expect from what we’ve come to know of the Marvel superheros. The series was first put out to the public back in 2014 as a printed zine, and now gets its sequel with new mutants, a new book, and new prints.

Simply dubbed These Charming X-Men 2, the new show will kick off with its official book reveal and launch party tomorrow, March 17 at the quaint, graphic novels, zines and comics store Secret Headquarters on Sunset Boulevard in Los Angeles, starting at 7pm. SO if you’re in town and you’re a fan of either the X-Men, Adam Villacin, or being emo, then you should definitely stop by this Friday to check it out. You can head here to find out more information, and here to see Adam Villacin’s other work.
