Last Thursday we were invited to what we knew to be a fully creative event, chockful of inspiration. Firstly, it was a collaborative effort between SUSPEND Magazine, a publication that promotes ongoing conversations with “creative thinkers and endless believers,” and the ever-forward thinking adidas Originals. Being lovers of all things print, we were chuffed to hear that the party was set to celebrate the official debut of the joint effort’s The Creator’s Corner zine, among a slew of other activations that kept us inspired throughout.

Dubbed “Cultures Of LA,” the party kicked off at 7pm at adidas’ Melrose location, where we were flung into a mixed crowd of entrepreneurs, photographers, designers… your general Los Angeles-based creative crowd, where free drinks flowed, tasty AF grub was served by Free Range LA, and music was spun by both Blondie Beach and ASAP Theo. But before things got too lit, we were graced with a live discussion panel that explored the works of Photographer and Director Angella Choe, Model/Fashion Design student Taylor Michael and SUSPEND Magazine’s very own founder Diane Abapo. Check out our exclusive recap of the night, shot by our regularly contributing photographer Emily Acosta, in the galleries above.
