Photographer Andre Herman has a thing for photographing cars. His passion-project subjects are varied in theme, but his appreciation for automobiles radiates through his simplistic visual approach to documenting them. His adoration of these cars is supported by the materialization of his latest series of work entitled Street Cars. The series is comprised of imagery featuring classic whips [functioning or not] that somehow stylishly adorn the streets of San Francisco. Herman’s keen eye happens upon these cars as they are parked in places that serendipitously complement their painted exteriors. The resulting images portray a natural color-blocking of the cars as they are juxtaposed against the natural backgrounds of the neighborhoods he discovers them in, blending the old with the new.
