As with all things fashion, trends and references constantly revolve, from a retro look being in one month, to then be switched up with something more on the modern or contemporary tip soon after. But despite that, the classics always prevail as a timeless option; you can pretty much throw on a classic piece that’ll go with with anything. The same can be said about sneakers, and the recently released adidas “Tri-Color” Superstar–a clean, all-white sneaker with red and blue detailing–is a perfect example of a classic colorway that works all year round.

The new drop sports a patriotic approach to its detailing, with both red and blue used on the sportswear giant’s signature three stripes, with blue used again on the heel tab and branding on the tongue and side panels. The Superstar–a design originally conceived in 1969 as a basketball shoe–then sits on a crisp white sole unit, and rounded off with white laces. The adidas Red, White & Blue “Tri-Color” Superstars are selling for $80 USD, and can be found as select retailers such as Chicago’s Notre. Check out the details of the sneaker in the gallery above.
